Our current house is 2x4 with spray foam - it performs fairly well and is quiet. However, foam isn't that green of a choice and doesn't allow the wall assembly to dry very well.
We like the "green" choice in dense pack cellulose for the walls. We learned a lot from watching this installation video from FineHomebuilding.
The attic insulation will be deep -- a raised heel truss will be necessary to achieve the necessary levels of insulation.
If the walls are a larsen-truss, we could simply put batt insulation in the interior layer - particularly if we are doing that work ourselves.
On the inside of the house, soundproofing drywall may be used for "sound insulation" - particularly for bathrooms, media room, and utility room walls -- which would be most of the walls in the house.
